Meaning: Pride of Ancestry, Maintaining Tradition.

History: Purchased in 1991 by Kamali'i O Ke Kai from Jerry Montgomery.

Malosi Tele

 

Canoe Name: Malosi Tele

Language: Samoan

Meaning: Very Strong

History: Acquired in 1988 by Aunty Mary Ha'o (Hui O Ke Kai OCC, Hayward, California) for Kamali'i O Ke Kai.  Poured by Canoe Master, Nappy Naipo and apprentice, Eddie Fonseca (Ke Anuenue Outrigger).  She has 2 sisters and a brother, namely Kukuna O Ka La (now in British Samoa); Kekoa, on loan to a private party but dry docked; and Anuenue, formaly of Ke Anuenue OCC of Fremont.
